Product Description
Add a critical layer of protection to your mask with the Pronine Umpire's Throat Guard. This 4-inch guard hangs from the bottom of your umpire or catcher's mask to shield the throat from foul tips and deflected balls — one of the most vulnerable spots behind the plate. Quick to attach and just as quick to remove, it's an inexpensive piece of insurance no plate official or catcher should work without.
Key features & specs:
- 4-inch hanging throat guard for umpire and catcher's masks
- Velcro attachment for fast on-and-off setup
- Fits Pronine CH1SZ, CHYTH, and CHPRO mask models
- Shields the throat from foul tips and deflected pitches
- Sold separately; color black
Coach's tip: Check that the guard swings freely and fully covers the throat opening before every game — a guard that's ridden up or torn loose isn't protecting anything. Care: Wipe clean with a damp cloth, keep the Velcro free of debris so it holds firmly, and store attached to your mask.
