Product Description
Dial in your throwers' technique across a full range of loads with the Gill Training Discus (0.85K–1.2K). This variable-weight training disc lets athletes move quickly between weights on a single implement, making it ideal for progressive overload work, technical drilling, and warm-up routines in the throws circle.
Key features & specs:
- Adjustable training discus spanning 0.85K to 1.2K
- Weight adjusts in fine 0.05K increments for precise progression
- Quick, easy transitions from one weight to the next
- Lets one implement cover under-, at-, and over-weight training loads
- A cost-effective alternative to buying multiple fixed-weight practice discs
- Built for training only — not competition legal
Coach's tip: Use lighter settings to reinforce speed through the release and heavier settings to build strength and positional control, then compete with a legal discus. Over-weight throws build the specific strength that carries over to competition distance, while under-weight throws train faster hand speed. Always throw inside a protective cage, wipe the disc down after each session, and store indoors to protect the rim and adjustment hardware.
