The Weather Cover Insert is the small but essential accessory that completes Gill's weather cover protection system. Without it, the vault box cutout in the weather cover leaves an open gap that exposes pit foam to rain, debris, and UV damage — and puts stress on the cover material around the opening during off-season storage. The insert fills that gap cleanly and keeps the entire pit protected from all angles.

• Fills Vault Box Cutout Opening — Purpose-built foam insert fills the vault box cutout in Gill's pole vault weather covers, eliminating the uncovered gap that standard covers leave at the box area and completing the full protective seal across the entire pit surface between practice sessions and during off-season storage
• Prevents Moisture Intrusion at Box Opening — The vault box area is one of the most vulnerable points for water entry into the pit foam — the insert blocks rain and snowmelt from channeling through the cutout opening and saturating the foam base units beneath, significantly extending the service life of the landing system
• Protects Weather Cover Material — Fills and supports the cover at the cutout zone, preventing the weather cover fabric from sagging, stretching, or tearing around the box opening under the weight of rain pooling or debris accumulating in an unsupported gap over time
