Product Description
The PowerMax Sprint Start Sled adds towing resistance right out of the blocks, training the powerful, low drive phase that sets up a fast sprint. Its unique design clears virtually all starting blocks so athletes can explode into the sled without interference, and Olympic-style weight plates can be added to dial resistance up or down. Developed by Colorado State University sprint coach Tim Cawley, it targets the exact moment where races are often won or lost.
Key features & specs:
- Adds resistance to the start and acceleration out of the blocks
- Design clears virtually all starting blocks
- Accepts Olympic-style weight plates to increase resistance
- Developed by CSU sprint coach Tim Cawley
- Includes sled, 11' leads, and a 3" hook-and-loop belt adjustable to 42" waist
Coach's tip: Start with light resistance so athletes keep a strong, progressive drive angle rather than popping upright. Run short reps out of the blocks with full recovery, and store the sled and weights dry to protect the finish and hardware.
