Product Description
The Gill Javelin/Hammer Adjustable Back Brace gives throwers firm lumbar support during the explosive, rotational demands of the javelin and hammer. Eight supportive steel springs conform to the back to stabilize the lower spine, while adjustable elastic straps let each athlete dial in the exact tension they need — a smart support piece for hard-training throwers.
Key features & specs:
- Support: Eight steel springs conform to the back for firm lumbar support
- Main band: 9" high elastic band for broad support
- Adjustability: Second 4" outer elastic straps allow adjustable tension
- Fit: Tapered cut for men and women; one size fits waists 28"–50" (71–127 cm)
- Model: GP-4581
Coach's tip: Fit the brace snugly over the hips with the springs centered on the lower back, then set the outer straps for firm-but-mobile support before throwing. A brace supports good mechanics but doesn't replace them — pair it with a proper warm-up and core work, and see a trainer or medical professional for any ongoing back pain.
