Product Description
Protect base runners' hands from jams, spikes, and hyperextension on aggressive slides with the Champro Sliding Mitt. Metal plate reinforcement guards the wrist and hand while an abrasion-resistant front stands up to repeated contact with the dirt, giving your fastest players the confidence to attack the next base.
Key features & specs
- Wrist-conforming metal plate reinforcement on top and bottom for complete protection
- Elastic strap for easy on and off
- Abrasion-resistant front protects the palm and withstands repeated use
- Thumbhole with elastic support adds protection when worn with the thumb outside the mitt
- Reversible—can be worn on the right or left hand
- Encourages a safe, hand-up sliding technique into the bag
Coach's tip: Teach runners to wear the mitt on the trailing hand and keep it raised through the slide so the metal plates do their job and the fingers stay clear of spikes. Brush off dirt after each game, wipe with a damp cloth, and air-dry fully so the strap and front material last through the season.
