Smith Sliders

The Smith Sliders is a unisex lifestyle sunglasses reissued from Smith’s 1995 Archive Collection — the original frame that introduced Smith’s patented interchangeable lens system to the market. The revived design keeps the iconic 8-base wraparound silhouette and sliding lens mechanism, now built on Smith’s Evolve bio-based frame material (lightweight, durable, and partially plant-derived) with AutoLock hinges and Megol non-slip nose and temple pads. ChromaPop polycarbonate lenses enhance color contrast and definition by filtering two specific wavelengths that cause color confusion, with smudge and moisture-resistant coatings on all lenses. The frame is a medium fit with medium coverage, suited to men and women.

Each pair includes three lenses: a ChromaPop sun lens (installed), a ChromaPop Low-Light Amber lens for overcast and shaded conditions, and a clear lens for low-light or indoor-to-outdoor transitions — covering a broad range of light conditions without carrying a second pair. Lenses slide in and out of the frame without tools. A custom Archive Collection fleece pouch with dedicated spare lens pockets is included for organized storage in a pack or bag.
