The Smith Lowdown Slim 2 is a unisex lifestyle sunglasses and a scaled-down adaptation of Smith’s popular Lowdown 2 frame, sized for small to medium faces. The frame is made from Smith’s Evolve material — a bio-based polymer incorporating 53% renewable plant-derived content — which is lightweight and durable. The lens curvature is a flat 4-base profile, giving the frame a relatively face-front angle that suits a wide range of face shapes. Lenses are available in two material options: carbonic polycarbonate and glass, both offered in ChromaPop colorways. ChromaPop technology filters two specific wavelengths of light that cause color confusion, improving color definition, detail, and contrast. Polarized ChromaPop options reduce glare from horizontal reflective surfaces including water, snow, and pavement. Frame measurements are 53mm (lens width) x 15mm (bridge) x 150mm (temple length).

The Lowdown Slim 2 is used for everyday casual wear as well as active pursuits including running, hiking, cycling, and water sports. Megol hydrophilic nose pads grip more securely as the wearer perspires, keeping the frame in position during physical activity. AutoLock hinges hold the frame open for easy one-handed on and off. Vacuum-applied anti-reflective coatings on the lens interior reduce side-light reflections, and hydroleophobic coatings repel moisture, grease, and grime for easy cleaning. Each pair ships with a microfiber cleaning pouch. Prescription adapter compatibility is available as an add-on for select colorways.
