The frame is constructed from Smith’s Evolve bio-based polymer — a lightweight, durable material incorporating 53% bio-based content — with an aggressive 8-base wraparound lens curvature that provides broad side and peripheral light coverage. Wide temples further block ambient light from entering the sides of the frame. Premium Italian spring hinges allow the temples to self-adjust across a range of head sizes and shapes for a secure, comfortable fit during long days outside. Lens configurations include ChromaPop Glass polarized (mineral glass, highest scratch resistance), ChromaPop+ polarized (polycarbonate, lighter weight), ChromaPop Glass Polarchromic (polarized photochromic glass that adapts tint to UV and ambient light levels), and Techlite glass polarized options. All chromapop lenses filter two specific wavelengths of light to improve color definition, contrast, and detail — particularly useful for reading water surfaces and identifying fish below the waterline.

Megol hydrophilic rubber on the nose pads and temple tips increases grip as the wearer perspires, maintaining frame stability through active use. Smudge and moisture-resistant coatings on all lens options allow water, grease, and grime to bead and wipe away without streaking.
